Radiofrequency Ablation

Regional Vascular Associates offers radiofrequency ablation  (RFA) for tumors involving the lung, liver, kidney, and bone. RFA is performed using ultrasound or computed tomography (CT) to guide a needle into a tumor, which then applies heat to destroy the tumor tissue. The interventional radiologist is able to pinpoint the tumor using image guidance and control the amount of heat directed to the tumor.
